Procurement portals and notice services at a glance

Each buyer decides which platform it uses. The overview below explains the different ways public tenders get published. It is not a list of procuris integrations, supported platforms or partners.

TED – Tenders Electronic Daily
EU-wide, above the thresholdsTED is the online supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union and publishes the EU-wide contract notices above the EU thresholds. Since 2023 the notices come in the machine-readable eForms standard.
e-Vergabe des Bundes (eVergabe-Online)
Federal authoritiesThe federal procurement platform, run by the procurement office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior. Federal authorities publish their notices here and provide the tender documents.
Datenservice Öffentlicher Einkauf
Germany, notices published nationallyThe national data service collects German procurement notices in the eForms-DE format and makes them available in machine-readable form, including procedures below the EU thresholds.
service.bund.de
Federal government and affiliated bodiesThe federal service portal has a tenders section of its own, where federal authorities and affiliated bodies publish their notices.
Vergabemarktplatz Nordrhein-Westfalen
North Rhine-Westphalia, state and municipalitiesThe state portal of North Rhine-Westphalia. State authorities and many municipalities in the state run their procedures here. If you bid mainly in NRW, it is one of the most important single sources.
Legacy-Anbieter
Commercial procurement platforms and notice servicesBesides the public portals there are established commercial providers. Depending on the platform, they support publishing, researching or running procurement procedures electronically.

Frequently asked questions about public tenders

There is no single source. Contracts above the EU thresholds appear on TED (Tenders Electronic Daily). National procedures appear on the federal e-Vergabe platform, the Datenservice Öffentlicher Einkauf (the national notice data service), service.bund.de, state portals such as Vergabe.NRW and commercial platforms run by legacy providers. Each buyer decides which platform it uses. What counts for taking part is what the notice itself says.
In everyday use the two terms mean the same thing. Strictly speaking, a portal is where notices are published, while a platform also runs the procedure: it provides the tender documents, answers bidder questions and accepts bids electronically. Many legacy providers offer both.
Yes. The notices themselves are public and anyone may read them, procurement law requires it. Costs only arise with services that collect, prepare and monitor these notices. The procuris tender search is free for good.
Since 1 January 2026 the EU thresholds are €5,404,000 net for works, €216,000 for supplies and services of other public buyers, €140,000 for central government authorities and €432,000 for utilities. They are set by Delegated Regulations (EU) 2025/2150, 2025/2151 and 2025/2152 and apply until 31 December 2027. Above these values EU procurement law applies and the notice appears on TED. Below them the German rules apply, UVgO (the sub-threshold rules for supplies and services) and VOB/A (the rules for construction works), and the notice is published nationally.
CPV code, region and deadline narrow the field, and the category and federal state pages on this site do exactly that. Whether a tender really fits is decided by the description of the work, not by the CPV code. That is why procuris searches the descriptions by meaning, summarises every tender and sends new matches by email alert.
The notices in the procuris search are updated, merged and deduplicated several times a day. New procedures usually show up in the search within a few hours of publication.
